Shehbaz Sharif has expressed gratitude to US President Donald Trump for agreeing to extend the ceasefire in the ongoing US-Israel-Iran conflict, saying the move supports continued diplomatic efforts to achieve lasting peace. In a post on X, Sharif said he hopes both sides will maintain the ceasefire and move toward a “comprehensive peace deal” during the upcoming second round of talks scheduled in Islamabad, aimed at ending the conflict permanently.
