103 families left homeless by massive fire in Bacolod City

BACOLOD CITY–A massive fire razed 37 houses in Barangay 14 here on Tuesday, leaving affected families homeless.   The fire displaced 103 families with 307 members from Purok Ramon Magsaysay Dawis, according to Richelle Verdeprado-Mangga, head of the Bacolod Department of Social Services and Development. She said that based on the initial count,  27 houses were destroyed and 10 were damaged, but the number is likely higher. A final count is expected on Wednesday.
