One wealthy Surrey family is on the lookout for "live-in dog companion" to work at their luxury private estate. The successful applicant is being offered a generous £60,000 salary, alongside free rent and bills in a cottage nestled in its grounds. The position - titled a Live-In Dog Companion and Estate Assistant - is full-time, with working hours listed as 9am to 6pm, Sunday to Thursday. However, the job advert notes that there is some flexibility depending on when the family is staying at the estate. They will also be required to run errands in the local area, collect deliveries at the estate and get stuck in to maintainence the grounds. The family pooch is at the centre of the role - with the successful applicant tasked with feeding, grooming, overseeing their routine and managing the daily doggy diary. The job advert reads: "We are seeking a dependable and caring Live-In Dog Companion & Estate Assistant to join a private estate household. "This role is centred around providing a consistent presence on the property, supporting the well-being and daily routine of the family dog, and assisting the household team with light support tasks around the estate. "The successful candidate will act as a guardian of the home, offering reassurance and attentive oversight of the property when principals are in residence or travelling. "This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys a calm, structured environment and takes pride in maintaining a welcoming and well-run home." As well as seeking someone who is enthusiastic about dogs and animals, the family are on the lookout for a "warm, calm and dependable" character. The family is said to have been inundated with applications since the job listing was posted online. However, current jobseekers need not apply, with Achieve Hospitality confirmed it was no longer looking at new submissions for the position.
