Nearly ₱280M worth of shabu seized in Quezon City; 2 Chinese arrested

MANILA, Philippines—Suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu, valued at ₱278.8 million were confiscated and two Chinese were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City on Tuesday. Anti-narcotics operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police seized around 41 kilograms of the illegal drugs, hidden in a paper bag and carton boxes. The operation took place along Andrade Street, Barangay Balingasa, where two suspects identified by the aliases “Aye,” 33, and “Mok,” 32.
