VKI Test Shocks: Every Third Pacifier Contains Harmful BPA

The use of Bisphenol A (BPA) has been banned in pacifiers and teething rings since 2011. Nevertheless, contamination can occur in the products. The Association for Consumer Information (VKI), in collaboration with other European consumer organizations, conducted an investigation. The result is shocking: BPA was detected in six out of 18 products offered in Austria. Additionally, a choking hazard was identified in a pacifier set purchased from Shein.
