SC urged: Compel Marcos to undergo medical, drug exams

MANILA, Philippines — Former Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez has urged the Supreme Court to compel President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to undergo a physical and mental examinations, including a drug test, citing what he described as signs of a “worsening” health condition. Alvarez, together with Virgilio Garcia, Juan Raña, and Raymundo Junia, filed a petition for mandamus on April 15 seeking to require Marcos to undergo a medical examination, including a hair follicle drug test and to fully disclose the results so the public may be informed of the “true” state of his health.
