The Gangnam District Office said Wednesday it will run a weekly outdoor performance program at Gangnam Square, in front of Exit 12 of Gangnam Station, from April 23 through October. The program, titled "FUN&FUN Gangnam," is designed for residents and tourists to enjoy live street performances during the evening commute hours. Shows will run every Thursday starting after 6 p.m. for approximately 40 minutes. A total of 19 performances are scheduled for the year — 11 taekwondo shows, six street arts performances and two special events — although schedules may be adjusted due to rain or other weather conditions. The World Taekwondo Headquarters, located near Gangnam Square in southern Seoul, will collaborate with the Gangnam-gu Taekwondo Association to deliver performances combining demonstration routines, board-breaking and pop choreography.
