Sydney Sweeney Following recent reports that Sydney Sweeney ’s cameo in the new Devil Wears Prada sequel wound up in the cutting room floor , it turns out she’s in good company. Earlier this week, it was claimed that the Euphoria star had filmed an appearance in The Devil Wears Prada 2 last year, but this was ultimately axed due to what was reported in the press as a “ creative decision”. Since then, Variety has claimed that numerous other stars who were due to appear in the film did not make the final cut. Most notably, they claimed that Fire Island and How To Get Away With Murder actor Conrad Ricamora had filmed numerous scenes as a new character who shares a flat with Anne Hathaway ’s Andy. However, it was suggested these scenes were cut after test audiences “kept questioning why Andy needed a roommate at all”. Conrad Ricamora Director David Frankel also told the podcast Back Row that he shot one scene with Anna Wintour at Dior’s offices, though this will not be included in the film’s cinematic release (expect to see it in a later streaming cut, though). “Unfortunately, Anna jumped her cue,” the filmmaker explained. “So, the shot isn’t always in focus. And I didn’t want to do a second take. I can’t ask Anna to do take two.” Anna Wintour The second Devil Wears Prada movie features all of the original cast’s principle players reprising their roles, most notably Meryl Streep , Anne Hathaway , Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci . Joining them in the new movie are Sir Kenneth Branagh , Justin Theroux , BJ Novak and Simone Ashley , whose own scenes from the 2025 movie F1 were axed . Meanwhile, Naomi Campbell and Lady Gaga is among the A-listers thought to be making cameos in the Devil Wears Prada 2, with the latter having also contributed new music to the film’s soundtrack.
