HC stays ECI observer's 'blanket' action against 'troublemakers' in West Bengal

The Calcutta High Court has put a temporary halt on a directive from the Election Commission's Police Observer. This directive had asked authorities to label certain citizens as 'trouble-makers'. The court found this blanket direction to be an error. However, authorities can still detain individuals under existing laws.
