Tumulak rebuts Osmeña’s ‘waste of time’ remark, cites house rules

CEBU CITY, Philippines — Majority Floor Leader Dave Tumulak on Wednesday countered Vice Mayor Tomas Osmeña’s criticism, after the latter called the council a “waste of time.” Tumulak reminded the presiding officer that council deliberations were governed by the law and established house rules. “With all due respect to our good vice mayor, he has the privilege to speak, and we expect him to be accurate and considerate,” Tumulak said in response to Osmeña’s remarks. “We are governed under the Local Government Code and House Rules in the council.” READ: Tomas Osmeña: City council is a ‘waste of time’ amid […]...
