CEBU CITY, Philippines — The economy of Central Visayas grew by 3.7 percent in 2025, the regional Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA-7) announced. However, it was a slower pace compared to 2024 and slightly below the 4.4 percent national average. Government officials said the region’s weak growth was due to multiple headwinds last year, but remained optimistic that Central Visayas was able to withstand them.
