CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (CDRRMD) on Thursday warned residents of dangerous heat levels after the heat index in Calapan reached 43 degrees Celsius. A day before, the heat index in the city was at 42°C. In an advisory issued at 11 a.m. on Thursday, the CDRRMD said the heat index, recorded at the Calapan City Public Market monitoring station, is under the “danger” classification.
