MANILA, Philippines – The government should raise the monthly allowance for state workers to P5,000 from P2,000, ACT Teachers Rep. Antonio Tinio said on Friday, as the increase would help them cope with rising living costs driven by elevated fuel prices from the conflict in the Middle East.
