Charges filed vs Mike Defensor’s wife, son over human trafficking case

MANILA, Philippines — The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has filed charges against the wife and son of former Rep. Mike Defensor for allegedly being involved in a human trafficking case. NBI Director Melvin Matibag confirmed this to the INQUIRER on Friday. According to Matibag, the NBI filed a case for violation of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act against Defensor’s wife, Julie Defensor, and son, Miguel Defensor, and other individuals at the Pasig City Prosecutor’s Office on Thursday.
