MANILA, Philippines — Former congressman Zaldy Co is in Czech custody due to documentation issues, the Department of Justice (DOJ) clarified on Friday. While DOJ spokesman Atty. Polo Martinez confirmed that an “intervention” took place, he emphasized the distinction between a formal criminal arrest and a deprivation of liberty due to immigration issues.
