BEIJING: China’s Defence Minister, Dong Jun, met with his Russian counterpart during a trip to Russia on Friday, the Chinese ministry said in a statement: The two agreed to further enhance strategic communication and “deepen practical cooperation across all fields,” according to the Chinese statement. They agreed to “jointly uphold world justice and international order, and inject new impetus” into bilateral ties. The two had an “in-depth exchange of views” on bilateral and military ties, and “the international and regional situation and issues of common concern”. China ready to cooperate with Russia to ease ME tension The Chinese minister is visiting Russia and Kyrgyzstan from April 23 to 28, the Chinese ministry had said. Dong will attend a meeting in Kyrgyzstan of defence ministers from Shanghai Cooperation Organisation members.
