"Footage on Friday showed tight security in place in Islamabad, ahead of the expected arrival of Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and a reported second round of talks between Iran and the United States. "Embarking on a timely tour of Islamabad, Muscat, and Moscow," Araghchi said in a post on his X account on Friday. "The purpose of my visits is to closely coordinate with our partners on bilateral matters and consult on regional developments. Our neighbours are our priority." The tour will see discussions on developments in the region around the US-Israeli attacks on Iran, according to state media. Earlier this month, U.S. President Donald Trump announced a two-week truce with Iran to allow for negotiations aimed at reaching an agreement to end the crisis. He later extended it to enable Tehran to provide a ‘unified proposal’, without specifying a timeframe. The first round of direct talks between the United States and Iran was held in Islamabad on April 11 and 12, following a Pakistan-brokered ceasefire on April 8. That round ended without an agreement, as diplomatic efforts continue over a new round of negotiations. "
