Daanbantayan mayor: No dog meat trade in our town

MANDAUE CITY, Cebu –Daanbantayan Mayor Gilbert Arrabis Jr. has announced his plan to build a shelter for stray dogs in their town soon. In a social media post on Thursday, April 23, Arrabis said the Municipal Engineering Office was working on the Program of Works and Estimates (POWE) for the proposed dog shelter that will be implemented “as soon as mahuman ang (we complete the) process.” As to social media posts alleging the presence of illegal dog meat trade in their locality, Arrabis said there was none based on the outcome of the investigation conducted by the police.
