He said Pakistan was contributing responsibly to reducing regional tensions and highlighted its participation in United Nations peacekeeping missions as a reflection of its commitment to peace. Hashmi also called on the international community to play a proactive role in resolving long-standing disputes such as Palestine and Kashmir through dialogue and diplomacy, stressing that “war is not a solution to any problem.” Separately, the Governor commended security forces for killing 22 militants and recovering weapons in recent operations, describing their efforts against terrorism as commendable. He expressed condolences over the death of a 10-year-old child, calling the loss of innocent lives a shared national tragedy. “Militants are making failed attempts to sabotage peace, but national unity can ensure the complete elimination of terrorism,” he said.
