CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — An eight-hour power interruption is scheduled on Sunday, April 26, 2026 in parts of the towns of Socorro and Pola in Oriental Mindoro. This disruption is meant to allow substation upgrades and maintenance work, the local electric utility announced. In an advisory, the Oriental Mindoro Electric Cooperative Inc. said the outage will run from 4 a.m. to noon to facilitate the installation of temporary 13.8-kilovolt facilities.
