"Venezuelan acting President Delcy Rodriguez welcomed Colombian leader Gustavo Petro to the Miraflores Palace in Caracas on Friday for bilateral talks focused on border security. Footage shared by the Colombian Presidency shows Petro walking alongside Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil before meeting with Rodriguez. The talks covered border security, energy and other bilateral issues. The Colombian delegation travelled to Caracas on Thursday ahead of the meeting, where Foreign Minister Rosa Villavicencio inaugurated the Third Meeting of the Colombia-Venezuela Border and Integration Commission at the Casa Amarilla. The visit marks the first high-level diplomatic contact with the Rodriguez government following the capture of constitutional president Nicolas Maduro during a US military operation in early January."
