MANILA, Philippines — The Office of the Ombudsman on Saturday filed a precautionary hold departure order before the Sandiganbayan against Senator Francis Escudero over complaints of plunder, graft, and bribery. Also included in the travel restriction request is Maynard Ngu, the alleged “bagman” of Escudero over alleged anomalies in the flood control fiasco. The petition is set to be raffled by the Sandiganbayan through its divisions. The Inquirer has sought the comment of Escudero’s camp but has yet to receive any response.
