MANILA, Philippines — Motorists were advised to avoid Barangka Bridge entering Marikina City after a truck lost its brakes and crashed into a store along A. Bonifacio Avenue, according to Marikina Rescue 161. Motorists heading to Marikina were advised to use Marcos Highway as an alternate route. The Manila Times has reached out to Marikina Rescue 161 for confirmation of injuries or fatalities, but has yet to receive a response as of posting time. Authorities also reminded drivers to take extra caution when passing through nearby roads.
