LUCENA CITY — The annual Agawan Festival in Sariaya, Quezon next month will still push through but minus the popular house decoration competition which was cancelled by the local government amid the national energy emergency. In a Facebook post in Filipino on Friday, the municipal Public Information Office (PIO) said the Sariaya Tourism, Culture, and the Arts Office decided not to hold the competition. “However, the Agawan Festival 2026 will definitely push through,” the PIO said. “Despite this change, let us continue to show our love for Sariaya’s traditions and culture,” it added.
