LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu — Thirteen years ago, in Ormoc City, Candice Maque joined her first campus journalism competition as a coach. This year, she returned to the same place — to receive recognition as the region’s “Most Outstanding School Paper Adviser.” Her decades of experience have led to numerous wins and opportunities for young student journalists to showcase their skills beyond the classroom.
