MANILA, Philippines — Dangerous heat indices gripped fourteen areas on Sunday, according to the state weather bureau. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported that Guiuan, Eastern Samar and Dumangas, Iloilo both logged the highest recorded peak heat index on Sunday at 45ºC.
