Iran is seeking Oman's help to restart peace talks with the United States. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met Omani officials after talks in Pakistan showed no breakthrough. Oman has a history of mediating between Washington and Tehran. Pakistan also reportedly engaged Oman to revive the discussions. Security measures were in place in Pakistan for anticipated talks.
