MANILA, Philippines — Most parts of the country will have sunny weather in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said on Monday. Weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said the easterlies will bring warm and humid weather in the next two to three days. Aurelio said the easterly winds would also result in cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in Sorsogon, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Southern Leyte, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte. Metro Manila will have a heat index of up to 41 degrees Celsius, which is under extreme caution category, while the highest could be recorded in Dumangas, Iloilo at 45 degrees Celsius, which falls under the danger level.
