"Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived in St Petersburg on Monday ahead of a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Footage shows Araghchi descending the aircraft ramp and greeting members of the welcome delegation. He arrived on flight 'Minab 168' in memory of the schoolchildren killed in the attack on the girls' school at the start of the US and Israeli assault on Iran in February. Araghchi visited Oman and Pakistan ahead of his arrival in Moscow, holding talks on regional and international developments and discussing ways to achieve a peaceful resolution to the conflict in the Middle East. The US and Iran agreed a two-week ceasefire on April 8, following five and a half weeks of fighting - and which sparked a global energy crisis involving the crucial Strait of Hormuz. Both sides have accused each other of violating the truce. Talks were held in Islamabad on April 11-12 with no breakthrough. The US said they would resume on April 21 but Tehran suggested it had 'no plans' to continue at time of publication. The US blockaded Iranian ports on April 13, which Iran dubbed 'piracy'. On April 17, Tehran announced that the Strait of Hormuz is now completely open - but cancelled that after Donald Trump said his own blockade would remain in effect."
