Sanjay Dutt appeared before the National Commission for Women (NCW) in New Delhi and issued a written apology over the controversy surrounding the song Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke, expressing regret for any “unintended” harm. The commission, led by chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar, raised concerns about vulgarity and the portrayal of women, questioning accountability and due diligence in such content. As a corrective step, Dutt pledged to sponsor the education of 50 tribal girls and assured stricter legal checks in future projects.
