The J&K and Ladakh High Court has overturned the Public Safety Act detention of AAP MLA Mehraj Malik. Malik had been held since September 2025. The court found his detention unjustified and a misuse of the law. The Chief Minister stated the detention was unwarranted. Malik was booked under the PSA after criticizing a district magistrate.
