"Israeli settlers attacked the village of Jalud, south of Nablus in the West Bank on Monday. Footage shows settlers moving through the village's countryside, as well as extensive damage such as burned vehicles. Israeli soldiers can be seen speaking with residents after their homes were attacked as some residents were forced to evacuate their property. "What has been happening in this village for several weeks is an unprecedented attack on the village, its lands and its residents," Raed al-Nasser, head of the Jalud village council, said, describing the incidents as 'barbaric'. He claimed that the settlers set fire to "poultry farms, cars, homes, the village council building and a medical emergency room". "More than 100 settlers attacked us; they surrounded the houses from all sides, and we couldn't stop them," Mahmoud Al-Tubasi, said after his had been attacked. "They had fuel with them and set the car alight and burned it - they burned everything," Mahmoud Al-Tubasi, a victim, said. Settlers carried out 497 attacks during March, while the total number of attacks in 2025 targeting Palestinians and their property throughout the West Bank, reached approximately 4,723, according to data from the Palestinian Colonisation and Wall Resistance Commission. It was also reported that the region has seen a surge in settler violence and assaults against Palestinians in recent days."
