LUCENA CITY, Quezon — Taal Volcano in Batangas produced three minor eruptions – two phreatomagmatic and one phreatic – on Wednesday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported. In its Thursday morning bulletin, Phivolcs said the three events lasted a total of 11 minutes, from 8:52 p.m. to 9:03 p.m., based on seismic, infrasound, and thermal data. The activity, locally known as “pusngat,” generated plumes rising 400 to 600 meters, as recorded by the volcano’s main crater IP camera.
