PNP on full alert for Labor Day protests

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) is now on full alert as part of security measures for rallies marking this year’s Labor Day this coming Friday. The law enforcement agency previously noted it would only be raising its alert level status to “heightened alert” in anticipation of protest-actions. However, in a press briefing in Camp Crame on Thursday, PNP spokesperson, Brig. Gen.
