Raffy Tulfo wants OFW performers screened before deployment

MANILA, Philippines – Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) recruited as performers must be screened prior to deployment to avoid the risk of trafficking, Senate Labor, Employment, and Human Resources Development panel chairperson, Sen. Raffy Tulfo, said on Thursday. In the panel hearing, Tulfo, who also heads the Senate Migrant Workers panel, flagged the lack of filters in place for entertainers recruited for jobs abroad. “It should be very strict, Tesda.
