Dole on calls for P600 minimum wage hike in NCR: Nothing's impossible

MANILA, Philippines — With clamor for a P1,200 living daily minimum wage of workers in Metro Manila, the Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) on Thursday said that there is “nothing impossible” for a P600 increase in their salaries. This is what Dole spokesperson and assistant secretary Lennard Serrano answered when asked if a P600 minimum wage increase for Metro Manila is doable, given that the Regional Tripartite Wage and Productivity Board (RTWPB) in the National Capital Region (NCR) approved a P50 wage increase last year.
