"The seventh 'Spring in Pereslavl' balloon festival took place in the town of Pereslavl-Zalessky near Moscow region. Footage taken on 24 April shows colourful hot-air balloons soaring into the sky while visitors to the event look on. "Not everyone can take to the skies, or fall in love with this element, with the sky. Not everyone can love it enough to conquer the skies and the heights. We are passionate about ballooning. It is our life and our dream," emphasised Russian women's ballooning champion Viktoria Arshava. She also explained that she has dedicated herself to this challenging sport for 12 years. "Thank goodness we still love it. Unlike so many other pilots, we haven’t burnt out. Some pilots do burn out from their work. But we, on the contrary, live and breathe it," Arshava added. The festival took place in Pereslavl-Zalessky from 24 to 26 April. Hot-air balloons rose to heights between 500 and 1,500 metres. "
