"The acting president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, announced the increase of the minimum integral salary to 240 dollars during the closing of the Great National Pilgrimage that began on April 19 and traveled to different parts of the country, as part of the celebrations for Labor Day. Images recorded this Thursday in Caracas show the mobilization led by Delcy Rodríguez and Diosdado Cabello, Minister of the Interior, in an event that gathered hundreds of citizens who reaffirmed their defense of national sovereignty. "The first announcement I want to make is that the minimum integral income will reach the equivalent of 240 dollars. I must emphasize that it is the most significant increase in recent years. We had not had an increase that allowed us to reach this level," Delcy Rodríguez reported in her speech. She also highlighted the increase in oil production in the country throughout the year. "Venezuela has regained its level of 1 million 200 thousand barrels of production. And I ask for applause because you know well that due to the naval blockade we had in December and January, we had lowered production," she noted. In this context, she assured that the country is going through a stage of economic and labor recovery, thanks to investments that foreign companies such as Chevron, Shell, Eni, Rexall, and British Petroleum have made in the country. Regarding relations with the United States, Delcy Rodríguez celebrated the arrival of the first commercial flight between the two countries after seven years, thanks to a diplomatic agenda based on respect. "We have been building work agendas in the energy field, in the mining field," added the president regarding the relationship maintained with Washington. The American Airlines flight that traveled from Miami reflects the progress of diplomatic relations between the two countries since last January 3, when the constitutional president, Nicolás Maduro, was detained during a U.S. military operation."
