Binaliw landfill: DENR-EMB 7 partially lifts cease-and-desist order

LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu — A landfill at Barangay Binaliw, Cebu City can resume limited operations after the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Environmental Management Bureau in Central Visayas (DENR-EMB 7) partially lifted the cease-and-desist order against the operator. The agency approved the partial lifting after determining that Prime Integrated Waste Management Inc. had complied with major remediation commitments following the January 8, 2026 trash slide.
