"Crowds were seen already arriving at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday for a free concert by Colombian singer Shakira - set to take place on Saturday. Fans of the 'Hips Don't Lie' and 'Whenever, Wherever' hitmaker can be seen gathered outside the 'Copacabana Palace' hotel, where the artist is staying before her anticipated concert. Some were seen singing and dancing to her songs from early in the morning, with fans from Brazil and other Latin American countries gathered with banners and t-shirts, hoping to catch a glimpse of her. "I was born in 1998, Shakira was already here in Brazil, (...) and my parents wanted to give me a different name. And they honoured me (...) by giving me that name," said another Shakira. "I am from Espírito Santo [southeast of Brazil], I came to the concert, I am a big fan of Shakira, I arrived at the airport at the same time as her yesterday, I couldn't see her, but I am very eager for the concert to happen," said Joana. The hotel zone of Copacabana is packed out with tourists. Millions are people are expected to attend the concert, as part of a series of massive shows put on by Rio authorities. "
