Atin Ito honors fisherfolk, rural workers in Labor Day observance at sea

MANILA, Philippines — The Atin Ito Coalition, on its fourth civilian mission to the West Philippine Sea en route to Pag-asa Island, observed Labor Day at sea to honor Filipino fisherfolk and frontline workers who continue to protect livelihoods in the country’s waters. Aboard the mission’s primary vessel, MV Kapitan Felix Oca, volunteers held a brief program on deck and displayed banners recognizing those who work daily in the West Philippine Sea amid China’s harassment of Filipino vessels.
