2 solons confident majority of their parties to back Duterte impeachment

MANILA, Philippines — At least two lawmakers believe that the majority of the members of their respective parties will support the impeachment bid against Vice President Sara Duterte after seeing the body of evidence presented during hearings. In separate interviews on Friday, Bicol Saro party-list Rep. Terry Ridon and Deputy Speaker Janette Garin both said that two-thirds of their parties will likely vote in favor of impeaching Duterte. Ridon, as party-list lawmaker, belongs to the Party-List Coalition Foundation Inc. (PCFI) while Garin is part of Lakas-CMD.
