MALAYBALAY CITY, BUKIDNON, Philippines — Residents of Barangay San Jose here were alarmed after thick black smoke billowed from a commercial area on Friday morning, May 1, prompting people to rush to the scene of a fire. According to the Malaybalay City Fire Station, the incident occurred in Purok 2, where a closed-type truck parked in the yard of a commercial complex caught fire. Firefighters responded quickly and were able to control the blaze within minutes. No injuries were reported.
