"Donald Trump described his blockade of Iran's ports as 'unbelievable' and claimed 'if we left right now, we had a great victory' as he spoke with reporters on the White House lawn on Friday. "The blockade has been unbelievable. Powerful 100 percent. It's been actually unbelievable. If we left right now, we had a great victory. . We don't have to be negotiating with them. Their teams are unbelievably disjointed. But we are negotiating," he said. Trump instigated the blockade after Iran said it was shutting down the Strait to 'unfriendly' countries - with the two in an ongoing standoff. It came amid reports from Iranian media that Tehran had submitted its latest response to US revisions of a potential deal, via Pakistani intermediaries. Talks had appeared to stall after the first round last month, with Trump extending the initial ceasefire after the second round failed to materialise."
