Passenger dies after falling overboard in Batangas waters

LUCENA CITY — A passenger died after reportedly falling overboard from a vessel in the waters off the Verde Island Passage in Batangas City on Friday, May 1, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said. The PCG Batangas station said its Isla Verde substation received a report that the man had fallen into the sea and was later found floating unconscious. The vessel’s crew immediately conducted a rescue and retrieved the victim.
