LUCENA CITY — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) has warned of dangerous heat levels in Cavite City and Infanta, Quezon, on May 2 and 3. Based on its 5 p.m. bulletin Friday (May 1), Sangley Point in Cavite City is expected to reach a heat index of 43°C on Saturday and 42°C on Sunday. The city has recently experienced extreme heat, with the index peaking at 45°C on April 27.
