MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang on Saturday confirmed reports that the Office of the President (OP) approved Vice President Sara Duterte’s rescheduled trips from May 2 to May 15. “Confirmed,” Palace Press Officer Claire Castro told reporters in a Viber message when asked about the reported approval of Duterte’s travel authority. The confirmation came after Duterte said she would submit a new travel request after her earlier travel plans were disrupted by uncertainty over whether she would be allowed to leave the country.
