MANILA, Philippines — A civil society-led “People’s Court” will be formed to monitor the possible Senate impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte following a House committee’s finding of probable cause to impeach her. The House Committee on Justice voted unanimously that evidence in two complaints alleging Duterte misused public funds and made a death threat against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. had established probable cause to pursue impeachment.
