MANILA, Philippines — Fourteen (14) areas are forecast to experience “danger level” heat indices, with five areas expected to peak at 43°C on Sunday, May 3, the state weather bureau said. Under the classification of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Association (Pagasa), a heat index of 42°C to 51°C falls under the “danger” category, while 33°C to 41°C is under “extreme caution.” In Metro Manila, 40°C apparent heat is forecast in Quezon City while up to 42°C is predicted to prevail in Pasay City.
