TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol — A green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas) has successfully nested along the shores of Panglao Island in Bohol, underscoring the ecological importance of the province’s coastal habitats, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Central Visayas said. In an advisory, DENR confirmed that the nesting occurred at around 7:26 p.m. on April 25 along the shoreline fronting Henann Resort in Barangay Tawala. The area, extending toward Amorita Resort and Libaong, is recognized as a known nesting corridor for green sea turtles.
